Snap-in boat wheel
If you're a smaller adult, or a parent, you know how hard it is to get your gear, or your kids gear to the river. Even if they're pre-teen, it's not an easy thing. And while we have made great efforts to keep the Superfly and Hammer as light as possible, it's still not easy for kids, and smaller adults, to carry their own boats.
So, we've built a small slot recess into the boat to accept a wheel (or into a standard US box in paddleboards). It just pressure fits into the slot, and makes transport from the car to the waters edge (even across pretty rough terrain) much simpler. The slot itself is so small, that it has zero effect on paddling.
Of course, some places you'll have to do it the old fashioned way, and just carry it, but this will work a lot of the time, making life much simpler.
And once you're at the river, it just drops into the back of the boat and clips in with a carabiner so it stays put.
