Hilex 16

We don't make a big enough deal over how good the plastic in our kayaks is. And we're going to change that.
Hilex 16 really is next level. It allows us to make a rotomoulded boat that's similar in stiffness and impact resistance to blow moulded boats, but with the ability to make far more complex shapes and minute thickness adjustments than the blow moulded process allows, allowing for an end product that's lighter.
But there are no free lunches. Hilex 16 is expensive. This can be seen in the pricing of the industry standard Superlinear boats that we also offer, that cost significantly less, compared to the Hilex 14 ones. We know Superlinear is not as stiff, not as strong, and not as wear resistant as Hilex 16, but it's "acceptable" as it's what many of our competitors use. So we make them too.
Suplerlinear can't hold a candle to Hilex 16, and that's just one of the features that make Soul kayaks so special. Paddle one - you'll feel the difference.
We have, from what we can tell, the lowest warranty rate in the industry, and this is thanks to the superior properties of the plastic. You get what you pay for, and in the case of Hilex 16, thats a lot!
